My finds today ...............and M Y 1 0 0 th S I L V E R of 2009

I went hunting today....Having 96 silvers ,and not expecting to pick up more than one or two...I was pleasantly suprized to find 2 rosies,a 45 silver quarter,and a merc....and only dug 3 wheats ? and a small silver religous pendant......I liked the ratio of silver to wheats today....
Here is what I found today

Have 393 wheats so far.....but I only took a picture of the Silvers......... Below is pictured all 100......silvers

1,000 silver between the 3 of us for 09.........That's ALOT of digging,but if they are willing to try,,,,,,,,I am...........Average 334 each ?
I threw down,,,,,,,,now are you in T & G .......We are almost at 300 NOW.......T-Man will be posting his 100th soon.......Do you think we can do it ? Tall order but I'll go all out...............May get a divorce over it tho.....L.O.L.

Big congrats on your 100th silvers McEtrak! and good luck reaching you goal of 300 silvers . As I found out last season about setting goals was that it sometimes takes the FUN out of hunting but on the other hand competition is always good.

Words can not describe what an incredible site 100 silver coins in a pile make on a table... oh damn, I summed it up with "incredible". I guess that will have to do.

I think if I hunted more regularly I could have half a prayer in reaching 100 for the year. As it stands I MIGHT reach 50, but that's IF I keep at it all summer too

I think I'll stick to more pointed goals like first seated, first shield nickel, first barber half

Staring at that pile I was thinking, one guy in just a few months dug up all of that silver... and another guy did the same thing... and IN MY GENERAL AREA!!! and there are countless others detecting out there that DON'T POST their finds... There really IS a crap load of silver left to be found. Any one of use could do it, but nobody's shovel gets to the bottom of a foot deep hole quicker than Dave's
