What a great time!!! Glad so many people made it on out!!! If you didn't, you missed out on awesome food and awesome prizes!!!! Everybody had a blast, and we even got a new metal detectorist, congrats Joe on winning the Garrett Ace 250 that Ron Shore form http://www.windycitydetectors.com/ donated!!!! We definitely have to do this again!!! Oh yea, man, Bombers BBQ pork and Goio's Arracharra was delicious!!!! Thanks everybody for making this hunt a smashing success!!!!

My finds were an old cufflink (what was somebody wearing cufflinks out in the woods for?), an old Girl Scout knife (GS on the emblem), and of course a Boy Scout neckerchief.
My prize is the 1955 Half Crown.
Thanks again everybody, you all made this our best group hunt yet!!!

Nice finds, Fiend!

I really like that knife.

I grabbed an identical slide a couple of weeks ago at a different camp. I was wondering what time period it was from....

I have no idea, I am sure they still use them to this day.

That cufflink has got to be the coolest relic found that day. Did you do any research on the markings? Nice score, man. It's only going to get easier to hunt as the weeks go by! The field is slowly opening up. You know what that means... :icon_pirat:

Nice finds treasureFiend..............
I picked your Half Crown off the table,,,,,,,,,........My prize was the Probe.........GOIO picked it up............................
, I thought he didnt go for shallow coins, and he told me......It is to pin a hinged plug back when he is digging a Deepie.........I said OHHhhh..............Then I remembered about his Mentor..........Cptn SE....Dan from Ca.......If you have watched his videos, thats how he digs. Gloves, rubber mat, Leetch digger, and now A probe.......GOIO is quite the Silver King....
Give him another 14 months,,,,he might top Cptn SE's 900 silvers in 18 months.

Nice finds Fiend! I really like the translucent greenish blue BS Pocket knife, and the cuff link is especially sweet! I had a great time out there and will definitely be coming back for more fun in the future. In the spring I can just see that field covered with E-TRACs. LOL.
