Awesome Year....Killer year.... Best of luck in 11.... John

Awesome finds Steve. You've had a good year.
Good luck for next year hon.

Molly.

WOW, you sure get alot of neat things in your area. Happy Hunting next year......

Thanks guys and gals.

I appreciate the kind words.

Lots of walking and crawling to find those Ft Ancient pieces. lol

Flint, bone, shell, hardstone...everything but the kitchen sink. Very impressive finds Steve. I'm looking forward to seeing them again in person at Ripley next year. Hoping the weather is cooperative this year. Congrats on a great year.

You had a great year indeed.
I especially love the bone flute and the thebes.
Also:
Thank you SRV for being one of the "go to" guys whenever we are stumped on ID's.
Without people like you, this forum would just be a showcase.

Thanks for the kind words Jonzer. I appreciate that. But even I bow to Neanderthal (Matt Rowe) when it comes to identifying point types. He has probably forgotten more that I'll ever know. The man really knows his stuff and I trust his input on something 100%.

Fantastic finds, SRV! Love your displays. Quick question ~ could you please tell me what the flat circular artifacts are on the first page of your thread, in your last post, fourth picture down? (I have something similar.) Thanks,
Caroline

Caroline, those are Pottery Discs and are just like the Stone Discs that I have pictured in some of the photos above that post. If you could post some pictures of yours and I can tell you for sure whether they are or not. There is a lot of speculation as to what they were used for. Unlike their counterparts the large Cahokia style Discoidals which were used in the game of Chunkey, these smaller one have been said to also be Game Pieces of some kind and some people also believe they may have been used to cover pots and used as lids. The ones with holes in the center have been said to be possible Spindle Whorls.

Holy cow SRV...................awesome year you had..........That was a nice banner at one time.....The pipe still blows me away how it survived the plow........thanks for showing..............................GTP

Here's some pictures of some items I got from North Dakota from a Mandan Village site that I forgot to include in the original post. I thought I had gotten these in 2009 but I actually got them in 2010. I apologize to larson1951 for not including them.

Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate that. The ole Man Cave is getting a little crowded. As soon as we finish the remodeling I'm going to move a few of them inside the new study when it's finished.
