I'm sorry moderators for this possibly not being the place to post this but I am not a member of any social sites so here it goes.

I found something today I'm going to remember for the rest of my life, a letter in my mailbox. I was just accepted into Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine to start in July of 2012. For the last 5 years I've worked towards my dream, and of course done some metal detecting along the way and it turns out they're going to give me a crack at what I want to be; a small town doctor who really knows/cares for his patients.

It is only one crucial step in a long path but it means I get to spend 4 more years in central Texas which is where my heart is. I've prayed a very long time for this and everything is finally coming together. I hope everyone has a fantastic year and your finds no matter what they be will make you extremely happy.

I have no doubt you will be successful!

(and I would trade that for my best button) ;D

Congrats on your answered prayers and best wishes for more sucess :)

That is awesome..Congratulations on your dream. You will be a great doctor...Best wishes for a great career.

That is definitely the find of a lifetime!! Congratulations!!

Best of luck.

"a small town doctor who really knows/cares for his patients."

We sure could use more of those. God answered your prayers. He's good to us.

I for one am very glad for you , this would be great news .
Just think about you raising a family in a town that loves you , and being able to watch the kids grow up that you helped or saved or fixed a broken arm .
Money can not buy something like that. You hang in there and you will be what you want to be . Don't give up no matter how hard it may get at times .

Come back and let us know how you are doing and when you get done and in a town. It will be great to keep up with you as you move on.

A "small town doctor" that likes to MD can have a few advantages to some rare opportunities :) You may find yourself in a situation that could give you access to some very exclusive sites. Good luck on your career.

Way to Go! Remember luck favors the prepared.

Our health care system needs more doctors who put their patients first. Keep your goals in sight.

best wishes.
