I originally posted this token about two years ago.
This brass token was found a number of years ago in a park along the banks of the Mississippi River in Iowa.
M. & St. L. (Memphis & ST. Louis) Packet Company was a steamship packet that was in operation between 1859 and 1879.
In 1879 the name was changed to the Vicksburg and St. Louis Packet Co.
The token was good for one drink at the bar. There is also a "10" denomination known. That token has a Liberty head on the obverse.
