Good day everyone..
Hitting a local park near me for the first time, I had great expectations for what I might find.
Recently this park seems to serve as a place to drink beverages (as the many beer bottle caps i found attest to )..but this park was once a real attraction in the los angeles area.
Known as Luna Park/eastlake park/Lincoln park..this area was set aside late in the 1890's as a major attraction..it had a zoo, ostrich farm, lake, picnic area and many many trees to shade the early Angelenos'.
Having researched the original park area..I set my sights on the areas I thought would be a great producer.
Hmmm, after digging dozens of beer bottle caps, old beer can tabs, 26 cents in clad, a lump of iron, a small metal piece of some sorts and a old los angeles transit token.. I called it a day.
I will for sure go back and check this place out, not only is it local, it's massive and will take me a very long time to sweep the whole area if ever.
Besides... i figure once I clear the area of all the junk, then it's all good! Posted are my finds and a photo from eBay showing a token exactly like the one I found that someone else is selling
