Ok guys, I'm hoping to get a camera soon so I can post pictures along with my finds. This was my second time ever to go out metal detecting as I just bought an Ace 250 and headphones, but haven't gotten a pinpointer yet, which I feel would probably speed up the digging process.
Anyway, at 1:30AM I decided to take a study break from Thermo. Physical Chemistry, and walked to the park that borders the back edge of my house. This park is also attached to an elementary school. I started out in the sand volleyball pit; found a clad quarter and nickel and an angel pendent that I though was silver coming out of the ground but it's magnetic After that, I decided to hit the tot lots and must have found some kids show and tell, found a 1957 Silver Canadian dime and a 1968 English 10 Pence (Bout the size of a half dollar).
So even though I didn't get silver on the angel pendent, I still struck my very first silver ever! Hopefully, it is only a small taste of what is to come...
