Looks like Radio Shack came through with flying colors. Way to go!

Very nice, it's not all about the equipment, as it is just getting out there.

As long as you have fun and enjoy the time you spend, it does not matter what detector you use. Different folks spend different amounts for different machines, and many argue this one is better than another, etc. My take is this.....Your radioshack detector helped you have a good time and make some good finds. Coins and a ring. Many people have never found a ring and use $1000 dollar detectors.

I say KUDOS to you for a job well done

Glad it works for you.The one i had would barely find pennies and i never found anything deeper than a couple of inches...
Like i say if it works for you ...go with it!!!!!
Glad you had a good day!!

That's a pretty good hunt! Is the ring gold?

In the right set of hands, any detector will do the job!

Congratulations!

Great job!!!! look like you and your dad had a great day!
looks like the kind of finds I have after a day at the beach.

My first found gold ring was with a Bounty Hunter.

looks like a great day to me re-tek ! you made it work for you and had fun ;)

Like Nash said! I know guys who run out and buy the latest most expensive
detector they can get thier hands on, and they never really take the time
to learn a machine and what it's telling them. For kicks I like to dig out the
old Whites 6000 D Series II "whipper" that I cut my teeth on. Works great!!

the ring is a little odd.. silver thin band on wide gold band. looks real but i'll have to drop it by a jeweler buddy to check it as it has no markings. almost looks homemade.

My brother in law just dug out his Radioshack detector that he had bought a few years ago and done nothing with. Took him to the beach up in NH (Vacation) and he did pretty good pulling up a lot of clad and some odd brass pieces that we can't figure what they were used for. There is some work involved using a less equiped device but it's still fun... HH

:o
WTG Re-Tek. Looks like you showed them what a good man can do with a Radioshack detector! Nothing better than a good time at the beach with family and good friends. HH and keep a swinging.

I guess it may not be our first choice of detectors, but when #1 is in the shop, it's good to have aback up. Glad you got out and had all the good finds. Congrats!

Smiles!
