My daughter found one back in March in her cash register working at a Trader Joe's. This is the screen shot of the text she sent, saying she found a wheat penny 🤣 I wonder if someone is seeding them across the country?

1908 and 1909 are the only two IHP years that might have a mint mark and it can only be an S.

When you find very old coins in very nice condition like that it usually means one of two things happened. Either someone stole a coin collection and dumped it into a coin star machine where it was released back into the wild, or some kid took some coins from their parent's collection to spend. I've heard of both situations happening.
