Went detecting as Brooke got out if school yesterday. She was kind of down because I have been finding all of the old civil war buttons and she hadn't found any yet. Well what do u know she pooped this 1820 US Seminole Indian War button out and she had a smile from ear to ear! It is in way better condition than my US button. Hers is a cuff button and mine is the coat button and hers has the shank and mine doesn't. The photo looks way bigger than a cuff button but it is not.

Congrats to your daughter

“pooped”

I hope that’s a “darn auto-correct” moment.

If it’s not, I feel sorry for your daughter. If it is then I’m happy for her.

Great find... And even better being able to hunt with your daughter, times you never forget!

My wife asked me why I will not sell any of our finds and I told her because I don't want to sell my memories of my daughter and me. I also told her that when I die Brooke will get all of our finds and will be able to remember the day of each find we found together and remember the good times she had with her dad.

Sounds like a great lesson learned by her......Patience....You gotta love a grin from ear to ear.

Bet you still can't smack the smile off her face on that one. Tell her Congrats. :icon_thumright:

Awesome! Can't wait till my daughter gets old enough! Bet she's happy! I still haven't found a button older than ww1 metal detecting. Congrats you two!

Sounds like you are making some wonderful memories with your daughter. Congrats to her for finding a very special button!

Great find, great times. Congrats :hello2:
