Now that is beautiful!!! I have a small collection of portholes: Mind you, the ones that I have I found on various shipwrecks. The largest one is about 18 inches in Diametre. My wife got tired of moving this heavy monster around the house so I cast up some bronze legs and turned it into a table..Now she likes it!!

I will be honest I thought it was a round toilet seat with a glass top. Man I must be tired. Nice find.

Bartholomew- It's the same size as yours. It also came with a screen that fits on the inside. I was wondering about the bars on the outside any ideas

Hi Ace:

The bars on the outside are as a preventative in the event of heavy weather. They will help to disperse the force of the waves and in some circumstances, aid in the deflection of pieces of wood or and flotsam or jetsam. You do not want those puncturing the glass in heavy weather.

Gorgeous find..... I would have bought that in a heartbeat!!!!
