Hello to all. Thanks to all of you who participated in my contest.
I just wanted to say one thing. When I started this contest, I just wanted to give back to the good folks at TNet as I owe a lot to you all for the inspriration and fun that I have had here since joining in May 2006. I in no way meant to show anyone up, or try to make it look like I am any better than any member on the site. We all have our strengths and each one of us get out of the hobby something that keeps us coming back. For me, I specialize in cherry picking the playground woodchips with my 27 year old Garrett TR detector. I have a certain way of doing things and am a madman swinging out there while I am treasure hunting. We also are all on a different path in our learning curve. I have been detecting 30 years now, so yes, I have been around, but I know there are tons of you that are better detectorists than me, and I can live with that. I just love dooing what I doo!! Anyway, I just wanted to make sure you all know that I really do not want to offend anyone with the amount of treasure I found, or be compared to anyone elses finds in a negative way.

I am done and have figured out who the winners are. It took me over 4 hours to clean, count , and photograph my finds. I had an outstanding weekend. It just goes to show you, if you are motivated and insprired, doo your research, and get lucky, good things can happen. I set new personal bests yesterday in coins found in one day and today for the face value of the coins found. Two outstanding days in a row! Plus a nice amount of keepers and other interesting finds.
Here's a link right under here to a "Today's Finds" thread that will show all my finds, school by school in detail.

No one guessed the exact amount of coins found so the "Bonus Prize" goes unclaimed. I guess I get to keep the $46.72 I found during the two day contest hunts. I had 5 hours hunt time yesterday, found 390 coins for a $18.44 face vlaue and today hunted 5-1/2 hours finding 369 coins for a $28.38 face value.
The Two Day Total and the winning number is 759 coins found = $46.72!!!
Congratulations to the winners. I will be sending you all a PM tonight sometime (I need to eat and rest a bit...lol) asking for your address so I can mail you you prize.
Thanks again to you all.
Here's some photos of the clad pile and also the trash pile from my 10-1/2 hours of hunting this weekend. I added a 6 inch ruler to give some scale to the clad photo. The trash is spread out on a brown paper full size grocery bag which is about 2 ft x 1 ft size laying flat.
Like I mentioned above, I will post a new thread in Today's Finds with a lot more photos of the contest hunt finds.
Thanks and congrats to the winners.
Smiles!
