I've been dealing with the same bookseller in my area for over 20 years . An extremely knowledgable gentleman dealing in new and used books .
He takes the books I don't wish to keep at 50% of cover price in the form of store credit against future purchases of used books .
This store credit is then applied at a 50% rate to the used books I wish to purchase . Currently I carry a $600 credit with him
built up over the years .
Confusing , perhaps . Bottom line for me is that in the last week I have purchased , used , 5 John Lescroart , 2 Wilbur Smith , 1
W.E.B. Griffin , 1 Clive Cussler , and the second most recent Stephen Hunter in hardcover for less than $23 .
Thousands of pages of good reads at an affordable price . The Hunter hardcover alone retailed for $26 and I got it for $7.95 less my credit discount .
I am not trying to commercialise this website . I will share via pm a phone # to interested parties for this fellow as his website is still under construction as long as it doesn't compromise my standing on TNet .

wow! you certainly racked up the change! yes I'd like the # or web site when he has one. I love books, & need a good source of used books that aren't stupid romance novels!

I've recently dumped a hundred pounds or so, Butch, and I've got a couple hundred more to go,
for this pass. An awful lot of good information, about one thing or another.
Just not cost effective to even give it away! Nobody wants 'em!
Once and a while I find someone, but they back off in a hurry!
Some of it was fiction...

Once upon a time ;D I filled the trunk of a full-sized Thunderbird with Louie Lamours and took them to a bookstore in BAKERSFIELD hoping to get a few bucks...
The gal sez, "I'll take 'em." I looked at her, and said, "OK."

MB, I once new a woman who had seven steamer trunks completely loaded with those romance novels... Anything with a picture of a nurse on the cover ! She had never been a nurse, and had no plans to do so. :icon_scratch: Happily married, and hoping for grandkids.
Quite a few shelves, and piles of them in the house, also... headed to the garage and another steamer trunk!

She was a great person!
