I obtained a new permission yesterday for a house built in the 50s. People had lived next door in the 30s and 40s so it had some potential for older coins. I found a few coins from the 60s but it was all clad. In the back yard I found the biggest pocket spill Ive ever found. It was mostly pennies but since Kywonder was finding wheats I wanted to dig all coin signals. I found a total of 19 pennies and 5 dimes and a nickel all in this one pocket spill. At least I didnt go home empty handed. Earlier this morning KYWONDER and I were curious to see if any local banks had half dollar rolls. I bought a few rolls while in town. The very first roll I checked I found a 1970 Kennedy. It's only 40% silver but I will certainly take it. Its in excellent condition. Kywonder did a great job shining it up for me before I put that in a coin protector. Thanks for looking and HH! 20161005_172304.jpg20161005_175614.jpg20161005_175631.jpg

Backyard coin spill, , sounds like you may have found the clothes line. Congrats on the new permission and some nice finds. Play the lottery! ! lol

Thanks, ATW.

Make sure to check that 70 for a D mint mark KDQ. That is one of the toughest date/mint mark Kennedys to find. My daughter and I had looked thru over 400,000 Kennedys when she finally found one in a roll. ( yes I keep records of how many we have searched ). I was so excited for her, that I sent it away to NGC to be slabbed as a memory of her great find. The coin came back MS 63 to boot. I will never forget the look on her face that day.

Sweet coin spill!
You just need find where Pa and friends use to sit and lose silver.

Thanks, TH. It is a 1970 S. I will definitely keep an eye out for the 1970 D.
