Went to the store to return a movie and check the coinstar machine. I didn’t find anything in the coinstar so I made my way to the lotto machine. Me and the wife were checking to see what tickets had been purchased recently. She found two folded tickets with the barcode still not scratched and I’m like let’s scratch them just for sh*ts and giggles. We checked them and to our surprise we a $100 winner :hello2: needless to say it was a great day for eyetecting :icon_thumright: good luck and happy hunting to all.

WHAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTT

Congrats. I've found a few winners lying in the street or sidewalk. Never much, a free ticket or couple of bucks. Once found a 15 dollar winner in the park while walking the dog. It was weathered and couldn't be scanned at the convenience store. Mailed it in to the State Lottery and explained I'd found it and didn't know if it had been collected. They mailed me a $15.00 check.
I wrote the State Lottery once and asked how many dollars worth of winning tickets didn't get cashed each yr.. They said they couldn't tell because tickets overlapped years. I call BS on that. Any business or State Dept. has to keep books. Each game has so many tickets sold, so many winners in that game and how many get cashed. Winning tickets are lost, hung onto too long (games have ending dates) or are unclaimed because the people scratching it miss a winner like the one you found. Good luck.

Free money is always good. Congrats. I've checked a few I've picked up off the ground before usually at the gas station but they have all been losers.

One of my helpers hit $5k a couple weeks ago on a scratch off. But then he probably spent $10k in the past year on them. Literally. He thinks he won something but he didn't really.

The Christmas before last I spent $100 on 4 or 5 tickets, I forget. Hit $1k on one of them though. I rarely buy them myself. Once in a blue moon.

my little town has a population of less than 5000. One of the local stores sold a million dollar winning ticket for the drawing the other night. I rarely play, and of course didn't buy a ticket for that drawing. So, I'm here like....

I use to buy lottery tickets on a daily basis and I would win here and there but mostly lost. Now I buy them once or twice a month since I learned my lesson for the most part. This was the first time I have found a winner but hopefully not my last. I like your dumpster/freebie finds. Good luck on your next ticket/treasure find.

lotteries are a tax for being stupid

Nice job on the Freebee ticket. That's a nice chunk of pocket change.
