Nice score!
I'm still looking for the elusive brand name MD at a yard sale. All i've ever found was an old Heathkit from the early 70's (still have it) and a "toy" chinese brand (didn't buy it) once. Oh yeah... I almost forgot , I found a Garrett's ADS master Hunter III at the local Salvation Army several years ago, but I sold it for a considerable profit.

Same garage sale last weekend I ran in to 2 used Ace 250's, they wanted $250 for each one. I thought they were joking till I talked to them and they said that was what they really wanted, they would only deal if I bought both, for $400, I told them, "you know that is just the model number right?".... $250 for a used Ace 250.....$400 for 2 used......Told them sorry not interested and left....

Idiots. You should've told them you can get a brand new one delivered to your doorstep for less than that. Get off the dope people.

I bought a White's Eagle Spectrum, along with a 3" coil,a 4' sand screw,a Kellyco handheld probe, Compass Depth Doubler and a box of older W&E, LT mags, all for 25 bucks. I sold the Eagle for $100.00, the probe for $10.00 and still have the rest.

Helps to have an I phone at yard sales prevents buying things for tooooooo much you can show them what the going price is they probably got it from a late relative and have no idea what they had I would have asked them if they had any coins he had to have silver.

My "Iphone" has saved me from buying lots of useless (non-salable) crap! I am always looking items up on it. Lots of times if its a busy sale, I'll grab some items, look them up and put the worthless junk back...

I bring my ipad to every thrift shop, yard sale or garage sale. Helps me identify hallmarks, as well as being able to google old books or anything else I may come across.
