Well I have pictures of a few of my best finds but not all. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed finding them.

My best coin find. Found it in a park in SLC Utah. It was supposed to be a zincoln at 5" deep. 1893CC only 14 thousand made.

Token: Good for 5.00 in gold if presented to the Citizens Press before Aug. 1 1914. The Citizens Press was a paper in Jackson Mi. I found it in a lake in Jackson.

Coin jewelry. A 1572 Spanish Reale found in Lake St. Clair MI. I believe it came from a boating magazine that sold jewelry from Florida shipwrecks.

War relic. A German WW2 wound badge. Found in a lake in the middle of Michigan. Absolutely no idea why it was there.

WW1 Mark 1 practice bombs. I have found 5 now. I caused a scare with one that was really comical. You won't get the whole story, but you can google Port Huron bomb to get their side.

Gun. I have found two and a barrel of another. This one cleaned up nicely and will now shoot. Was in the water over 40 years. Taurus 357 mag.

This is a few items. One of my favorites is the Lewis machine gun magazine also from WW1 found in lake St. Clair. And a Springfield trap door bayonet from the late 1800's found with live bullets and a few old gold rings from a military encampment on an inland lake.

Best gold ring so far. I have found hundreds. This 14 grand beauty paid off my home in 2012.

Bottle. Calnon and Cronk mineral water 1852 from Detroit. Only the 4th one known. Sold it for 450.00

Old oil lamp for buggy or car before electric headlights. Sprague Co Detroit. Went out of business in 1913

Old fishing lures from the early 1900's.

This gives you an idea of my experience and finds in the last 12 years. I really enjoy this hobby and the many wonderful things I have had the pleasure to recover. Not pictured is a 1914D penny, two beautiful 1926S dimes and a very nice 1894 O dime. Unfortunately those were sold before I had a camera. Well except for the penny. That is a long story. Maybe one day I will get it to photograph.

That is some mighty fine specimens and Absolutely Amazing finds for a lake in MI. Congrats on a wonderful journey of treasure hunting up to this point. I really do look forward to more items you may find.

Cool finds and killer ring. Ironically, some people get a mortgage to have a ring like that. :BangHead:

Very impressive finds. That ring is a beauty.

Hey Scuba - Thanks for posting, very interesting and some great finds! Too bad on the token, you missed cashing it in by 100 years :laughing7:

Thanks. That ring was a beauty. I came out of the water and tried to see what it was. All that was stamped inside was a 6 or a 9. Got off the island and headed home. On the way I stopped at a jeweler and went in still in my wet suit two minutes to closing. I handed it to them and said please tell me it is real. He took it to the back and came back, Said congrats, you have a 14 grand ring. it was 18K and the main diamond was 1.1 carats. It was flawless. I was pretty happy with that find to be sure.

The paper was still in operation when I found it, still might be today. They had no idea what it was made for. I thought they would research it but they never got back with me. LOL 5.00 in gold then was 1/4 oz. Today, you probably would need a magnifying glass to see it!

Those are some great finds! Thanks for sharing.

How long have you been detecting?

How long have you been detecting?

Land detecting since 1995. I started in Utah. Water detecting since about 2002. Well that is when I got my real water machines I believe. I drowned two land machines before I came to my senses. I have been diving since 1980.

What type detector do you dive with

I dive with two different ones. A Tesoro Tiger Shark with interchangeable coils. I have both the 8" and 10" for it.

Then I have two CZ-21's. One with an 8" and one with a 10.5".

Those are some super neat treasures SD! Thanks for sharing!!

Scuba, You drove the bomb to the police department?!?! Great finds by the way!

Scuba, You drove the bomb to the police department?!?! Great finds by the way!

The FOURTH one. The first one we called 911. As I stated, LONG story, but yes. I knew it was a dummy but the local police didn't believe me. However when the State Bomb Squad came out, it was the same Sgt that came out the first time. He told the Port Huron police it was a practice bomb. The chief in the city told him he didn't want the bombs in his city. The state police put him in his place and told him they were legal for me to have. The news refused to tell the real story. They wanted me to look like an idiot driving bombs around.

Thanks. I hear one ticking in my living room now!

I hear you man. I had to do a similar thing with some 50 year old quarry blasting caps i found in a friends garage. Local PD wanted nothing to do with the whole situation. The bomb squad guys were great.

Epic finds.
