My best find to date, Roman artifact of jupiter.

That is an amazing find! It'll make me look twice at my metal blobs!

What a fantastic find, if it is actually old, and not a modern reproduction.
I think you should bring it to a museum and let them investigate the find.
They will also be the best to know how to preserve the find. :icon_thumleft:

:hello:

If its bronze & disease free, it needs no preservation. Not sure its over 2000 years old or 1600 :icon_scratch:

Splendid piece, congrats.

I is real, I found it in a wooded area along side a old roman road (perfect place to set up camp after a long day of traveling in the bronze age). The chances of some one putting a reproduction out there is more remote than finding the real thing.

The Roman empire ended 1600 years ago...
In the area the find was made Romans were active since 265 B.C.

Exactly, but only in the West in the Eastern Empire it effectively continued for many hundreds of years :icon_thumright:

Wow! outstanding! Thank you so much. :headbang: A box would make sense, I went back to the site an dug every target and found a bunch of roman nails. I will be hitting the site again when I get my new coil.
