This really surprised me today. After opening presents and eating an awesome Christmas brunch I decided to check out an old bottle dump in the woods behind my grandparents. I started digging and after a couple hours of pulling a few bottles I came across this guy. Glad I didn't bust him with my shovel. This has to be my best Indian artifact and my best find of this year. If anyone has any information on the age and anything else about it it would be much appreciated. It came out of a woods from northeastern Indiana if that helps. Thanks for looking.

Smokin' blade! Love the color. Was it in with all the bottle dump trash? That sure makes for a Christmas to remember.

Thanks! Yeah it was mixed in with all the trash. I'm not sure how it ended up there.

Nice find, very cool.

Wow, great find! Hopefully, so of the artifact guys will jump in on this one. You did a good job of picking this out of the dirt and trash of the dump. Congrats, very nice.

Now that's a gift! Great looking point you found. Post it up on the North American Indian artifacts section and somebody will ID the piece.

sweet find!

That is sweet! 25 years of walking the fields and I haven't found anything that big! It's rare to find Flint that size in plowed fields. Makes sense finding it where you did (out of the plow zone). It looks like it may be Indiana Horn-stone and probably an Adena blade. Great save!!!!!!

Awesome point find Congrats!

Man that is one big sweet blade! Love the color too. Congratulations!
