I haven't posted too much lately, nor have i gotten out to MD in quite some time. But i did get out the past two days in a new spot which decided to give up some nice finds the past couple of days....as well as a few 1St's.

i use an ACE250..and most every thing in the pictures was at least 5+ inches or more....

I'm gonna keep it short and sweet and I'll answer too any questions you may have as the thread acquires comments

a child's silver ring, and a bracelet not sure of metal but i do not see any markings on it at all so I'm gonna call it gold(en)
shawn2_022.jpg

single blade buck style pocket knife(wood handle),1943 p nickel, and a thin brass medallion stamped Greek style bust and the word HERCULE(a hole in the top leads me to believe it a medallion(child's maybe)
shawn2_014.jpg

1876 Canadian one cent piece(great shape),1890 IH penny(a bit rough),lastly 1923 Buff. nickel(hard to see date)

My 1st pocket watch..i know it's a bit rough,but i love it.
1st pic shows the back of the watch and the whats left of the case(outer side)
shawn2_020.jpg
2ND pic shows inside of cover and possibly the face side of the watch
shawn2_028.jpg

what i believe these 2 pieces to be are the reed part of a harmonica, and a ..carved bullet..heart shaped....(not sure please feel free to correct me as needed lol)..these are a 1st as well
shawn2_021.jpg

and lastly my best finds of the day...my very 1st SLQ..cant see a date at all but i narrowed it down to the latter type 2 obverse(3 stars under the eagle)..MAN I WAS STOKED..when you see em ya already know what they are..and next 2 signals i got were the 2 Merc.dimes 41',44'

i also got some of the usual clad approx.$8.50..and about 10 or so wheaties nothing worth posting

All in all what a great two days at an iffy new site

Great finds! Hope to hunt again with ya soon. I want to find one of those Canadian large cents, they make cool coin rings ;D
HH,
Donny

Awesome finds! What kind of an area were you hunting in? Nothing like a SLQ in the hole, they are so tough to find. I still haven't found one with a date on it, just an "S" mintmark.

The area im hunting is behind an elementary school, which contains 2 ball fields,3 soccer fields, large playground..not sure of its age,but before the school was built they held carnivals/fairs and such there during the late 1800's-early 1900's,there is also an old railway bed that was used until the middle part of the 1900's(New York, Ontario and Western Railway 1884–1957 aka. the O&W)

Congrats!!!!!! those are excellent A+ finds. I love the mercs too.

thanks relic ive always loved the design of the Mercs. and finding them aint too shabby either

Shawn,
What a great couple of days! I'm drooling over those coins... Congrats to ya!

Sounds like you have a real sweet spot there. Nothing iffy about it anymore. Looking forward to more posts!

Great finds! Just plain wow!

The one bit is definitely from an harmonica (grammar sounds funky sometimes). They're all nice coins, but that '41 merc looks like it's hardly worn at all. Not as clean as the '44, but sure looks crisp.
