I took this picture in the winter of 1984, it was my collection, ( minus axes and celts ) up to that point. My serious collecting began in 1978 and in 1985 i sold most of the pieces in the photo. Out of the 28 frames in the pic. , i was left with 8 frames. Little did i know at the time, that my most productive years were to come, 1985 to around 2000. I still wish i had some of those earlier points back though, there were some nice ones in there !

That is a healthy lot of artifacts. I am glad you kept some and took pictures back then. In the hard film days I never thought about taking a picture of the arrowhead. It was always us posed by a rock over hang. Good collection and lots of miles in that picture right there. And we wonder whee time goes. It goes in each and every frame. Thanks Wells for sharing.

There sure are some nice ones in there, all of them look awesome from what I can see! I wish I could enlarge the photos to see each frame in detail, but then again I would probably drive you and everyone else crazy with a couple questions about each piece lol. With all those finds you have made over the years, is there an artifact, or type of point found in your area that, has yet to elude you ?

That was a great collection!!

Hopefully you were doing a whole lot of cherry picking to come up with those 8 frames you kept.

Sorry, but the pic. isn't good enough quality for enlargement. I believe i found all the point types common to Pa. One of the more rare types for my area may be the" Helgremite " point, with only 2 found, i think ther more abundant in southern Pa. and Md.

At the time i thought i did, but when i visit friends who now have them, i see i over looked a few.

I can understand sometimes you have to sell things, I've been there. Something I learned was when they are gone they are gone. I have been offered a real nice sum for a bead I found, but I know the odds are against me for finding another. Maybe your friends will resale them back to you one day:thumbsup:That is a super collection of artifacts:notworthy:

Really nice! Glad you are not my neighbor though.

Here are the 8 frames i kept. Now days i have around 48 frames - picture comming next month .
