I went to the woods today, man is it overgrown. I only found 2 Wheat's and a Memorial,
1 1/2 spoons, and a bunch of bottles.
One of them is super tiny, I also found a broken 1923 Coca Cola, I also found a busted
Dad's Rootbeer bottle, man I wish they were still in tacked. Anybody have any idea on
the possible age?

I stopped by there two weeks ago, thought I'd try it out. Forget it. I didn't mind the massive flora growth, it was the invasive damned mosquitoes that got to me. I was absolutely covered in Deep Woods Off, these mosquitoes are mutant. They don't give a shit. I ran out of there without digging more than one signal.

Then LowBatts and I stopped by some other woods and the same scenario. So, I'm doing yards and older parks for now. Stopped by a park today for a couple hours and got away with about nine dollars in clad and a 1999 Chuck-E-Cheese token. I dug mostly deep signals hoping for silver or wheats, but no cigar on either. Mostly immediate-post-silver dimes and 60's cents at the 4-7 inch range, a few quarters there too. I did dig a lot of shallow quarters and dimes as well. I resurrected the Ace for a newly-discovered tot lot and didn't do all that well there. Oh well.

I have to go to a wedding tomorrow but perhaps we could collaborate Sunday...? Maybe? Got any ideas?

You've got pickle, olive and salad dressing jars along with a classic ink well and the small square may also be an ink bottle. I think you're pretty much right on with the age from the Coca-Cola bottle, these all may be around that time frame though I've also found them mixed with bottles as much as 40 years earlier. Oh yeah, that bromo bottle for after the picnic they had is everywhere.

Hey guys I told you, lose the OFF bug spray, get some Cutters repellant, works for me. Of course I forgot to put it on the other day at the old boyscout camp in McHenry County and had several dozen buggers hitting me even in the open field mid afternoon.

Today I pulled some old tent grommets, another tobacco tin and a brass hinge out of the deep. No coinage but had to join the family at the Elgin Fourth of July parade so cut the hunting short.

Happy Birthday America!

Had a Marine Honor Guard lead the parade, it was great and they got the loudest applause as they should.

Yea, the mosquitoes are mutant!!! I was respraying myself every 25-30 min!!!! They just didn't care!!!! I walked out in a clearing, the grass is up to my chest!!!! Definitely not going back until the fall time, and I suggest you do the same.

Well have a happy and safe 4th!!! I am already at the night job, doing 7pm to 7 am, then I'm gonna go cleanup the fireworks display grounds!!!
