My 3rd half dime: we'll call him Humpty Dumpty

I finished one house down the street this morning, finding mostly clad but also this beautiful 45 Merc. I had a few minutes to kill, so I went to the brother's house two doors away. I managed to find a part to the man's tractor and took one final swipe. Out popped this black disk and I thought, "Better check it." Imagine my surprise when I saw the words "Half Dime" appear! Even though this is my third, I was caught off guard. It is in terrible shape, appearing to have been holed and then bent where the hole was. It is an 1853-O, with arrows at the date. It made for a great end to a rather uneventful morning search. I'll call him Humpty Dumpty because "all the king's horses and all the king's men..." Really bad shape, in other words.

Nice find halfdime!Those things are a rare find,I've been doing this hobby more than 25 years and have only found one.It was in salt water so it was black and I tried to clean it with electrolisys and burnt it almost beyond recognition,they are quite fragile.Keep up the nice finds. Bootstrap
