Yesterday went to the farm I have permission to hunt along with the usual shotgun shells and bullets I found 3 cents one memorial one roached out wheaty and my oldest coin yet a 1891 IH. Showed it to the land owner and he offered me $50 for it so, I gave it to him and thanked him for allowing me to hunt there. He wants to put it in a frame and display it as a part of history of his farm. I think that's a cool idea.

cool that you gave it to him. priceless as a historical artifact of the farm, but certainly not worth anywhere near 50 bucks as a numismatic value.

I knew it was only worth about $2 or so, but also knew it was worth more to him than it was to me. Just to see the smile on his face was worth it all.

Congrats on finding it and then giving it to the land owner. No better way to get permission to return there again.
