It was a great 2010 year for me in PA. I did not find as many coppers as previous years, but the Colonial relics were taking up the slack. We met some awesome landowners along the way as well. Considering we only detect once/week, I think I had a quality season. I am going to drink a lot of red tea this winter to stay warm and research like crazy for 2011.

Totals:

Colonial silver: 1795 Spanish 2 Reales
Early-American silver: 1832 Capped Bust half dime
Coppers: 14
Buttons: 90
Relics: 18th century Dutch copper pipe, 18th century Brown Bess butt plate, 18th century Jew's harp, 1844 James K. Polk political medal

Keep the passion high!

Kirk :hello:

You had a great year, bro! Your last coin solidified that! Quality over quantity 99% of the time is the way to go!

Let's pound the Colonial beast harder and more viciously in 2011. ;D

Big congrats on a fine year . Very nice loot. :headbang:

way to go on the great looking oldies!!!! :notworthy: MR TUFF

Kirk, without a doubt 2010 was a great year for you, finding a beautiful mix of coins and relics. I think your mix of finds is what most of us would cherish and consider a great year. Congrats again and may 2011 be just as good and even better.

Don

Very nice variety of relics and coins Kirk. You had a great year and I know you enjoyed every minute of it. That's what it's all about!

a great assortment of finds, thanks for taking time to share all the pics with us!

I love the second pic with the coppers in your hand :headbang: Great year for sure ! I still admire the KG coppers as I am still lookin' for a "complete" one of my own.

Research, dig and post my friend !

Way cool cut coin., most unusual.
The Pipe, well you know how I feel on that.
Including the 2R, yeah a great year.

Funny how it goes though, I ended with more coppers than buttons.

Good luck out there in 2011.

Rick

Great year for you Pennsylvanian C O P P E R hounds! Spring will be just around the corner.. :headbang:

Great digs Kirk. Love that copper pipe and jews harp.

that's a sweet year man! some very nice coins and relics!

Spanish silver..Copper pipe...Colonial coins and buttons...They all add up to a great year...Awesome digs :icon_thumleft:

Nothing to complain about there Kirk. I'd be happy to find ONE LC as I have never dug one in over 15 years of hunting CW sites. Dman has found one in 35 years of hunting old homes. I guess people were poor here in Tennessee. WTG and thanks for your expertise in helping i.d. Colonial artifats for us last Spring. HH, Quindy.

Outstanding Kirk!

Looks like you had an awesome year, with the highlights being that cool metallic pipe and the big silver. Now get out there and dig you some nice trash pits this year. I want to see a nice display of early colonial pottery and glass from you soon. As you always say ..... "Keep the passion high!!" ..... Bill

2010 was a great year for the group. You guys consistently posted nice finds all year long. I'd have to say your pipe, and the two early silvers were my favorites. Nice year Kirk
