KKC (KirkKyleChris) had a great 2009 year. We dug 80 large coppers, six Spanish silvers, an 1809/1811 Capped Bust dime, and many nice relics dating back to the Colonial period.
This year was, by far, my best year of hunting. I dug 28 large coppers, a 1781 half real, a smooth half real, and an 1809/1811 Capped Bust dime. I also found an 1856 Seated Liberty dime and two Walking Liberty halves, which are not pictured below. The breakdown of coppers is as follows:
-Five Coronet cents
-King George I halfpenny
-Three King George III halfpence
-New Jersey copper
-Three smooth Colonial coppers
-Two King George II halfpence
-Three Draped Bust large cents
-Three Draped Bust half cents
-Five Classic Head large cents
-Two Braided Hair large cents
I also found around 50 flat buttons, many pewter spoon bowls and handles, a Colonial Jew's harp, a brass barrel tap key, a Colonial barrel tap, a pewter Colonial whizzer toy, a Civil War U.S. Staff Officer's coat button, and three ornate shoe buckle frame fragments.
If we are able to receive permission for most of the sites I am researching for 2010, we should have very similar results!
Thank you for looking, everyone! I hope your 2010 seasons are a great success!
