KKC (KirkKyleChris) had a great 2009 year. We dug 80 large coppers, six Spanish silvers, an 1809/1811 Capped Bust dime, and many nice relics dating back to the Colonial period.

This year was, by far, my best year of hunting. I dug 28 large coppers, a 1781 half real, a smooth half real, and an 1809/1811 Capped Bust dime. I also found an 1856 Seated Liberty dime and two Walking Liberty halves, which are not pictured below. The breakdown of coppers is as follows:

-Five Coronet cents
-King George I halfpenny
-Three King George III halfpence
-New Jersey copper
-Three smooth Colonial coppers
-Two King George II halfpence
-Three Draped Bust large cents
-Three Draped Bust half cents
-Five Classic Head large cents
-Two Braided Hair large cents

I also found around 50 flat buttons, many pewter spoon bowls and handles, a Colonial Jew's harp, a brass barrel tap key, a Colonial barrel tap, a pewter Colonial whizzer toy, a Civil War U.S. Staff Officer's coat button, and three ornate shoe buckle frame fragments.

If we are able to receive permission for most of the sites I am researching for 2010, we should have very similar results!

Thank you for looking, everyone! I hope your 2010 seasons are a great success!

Kyle

Excellent year Kyle, even the relics were good this year and hopefully better next! The Capped Bust Dime will bring a smile to your face every time you look at it!

I can't believe you dug all those coins and only 50 flat buttons :icon_scratch: I wish my coin to button ratio was like that :laughing7: In my 3 1/2 months I dug at least 200 flatties and not near as many coppers ... Lots of oldies and more keepers on the Colonial pile! :headbang:

great collection of coppers. love the jews harp and key. congrats

CW Relics are easier to find here in Middle Tennessee than Colonial relics Kyle. You have enjoyed an exceptional year Bud-keep it up. HH from frozen Tennessee.

Colonial copper is one thing, Spanish silver is drool material for me. Incredible finds for you this year  Old silver is at the top of my wish list. I guess that I will have to settle with looking at the colonial brothers posts :headbang:

Congrats to you Kyle on an outstanding year. Your research has obviously paid off for KKC.
Good luck to you guys in 010, may the Colonial force be with you.

tetanus will overtake you! Good job this year

That is one SEXY pile of 200 year old Copper! :headbang:

Great silvers, great relics. Glad to see that you and Kirk both got a military button this year. That staff button is a good find for up north. The whizzer is a neat find too--and the barrel tap key is top notch. Not too many of those found. Far more taps than keys dug, it seems.

Great stuff. Killer photos.

When is Zeus going to post his goodies? :o

Cheers,

Buck
