Well guys I had a great afternoon! Found my 1st trade pipe! Its a beauty to me! Same place I've found the gaming balls..also the large item not really sure could use some help. You can see where it was definitely wrapped with cord. And that Savannah River is the best one I have found! Def in my top 10 best finds! Thanks for looking! Seriously I was shaking when I found that trade pipe haha

Nice finds. I must of missed the game ball thread. Can you put it on this one? I would like to see it.

Nice hunt. Looks like you are in an area that is really paying off. Congratulations on some nice finds.

Great finds, are you finding all of this at one site?

Yes idk what went on in that area, but it was used for thousands of years. I've found everything from clovis base, kirk corner, savannah river, gaming balls and now trade pipe. All in an area about the size of 30 football fields

Did you know they can roughly date a trade pipe by the diamiter of the hole in the stem? Looking at that one.. it should be one of the first in your area.

Looks like yours was an elbow style

pipe2.jpeg Mabey not as old as I first thought. Around civil war.. real nice. There should be more.

Ain't no telling whats in that area waiting for you to come across. Nice finds & Good luck!

One of those spots that cry out for a metal detector as well.

So what do you guys think about that massive blade!

The red lines is where I would imagine it was set in the handle and the black lines where it was wrapped...its hard to show in picture but it has a "mountain valley" look. It slopes up to the peak in the middle then back down to the blade if you know what I mean

The blade is real nice man...
But that one..woohoo!
