Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
I took my Excalibur ii today. To this beach that's been hunted numerous times. I found (best to worst) a 1963 penny, a new quarter, a new nickel, a broken ear ring, part of a ball chain, 2 aluminum tabs and one bottle cap.

I'll be back in a couple of weeks, giving the depositors a chance to do their thing.

I'm thinking it's been too cool this year. So people haven't been swimming a lot.

Happy Hunting To All

Hope the depositors bring you some bling this year! Will be trying out some fresh water lake/shallow water detecting this year in Michigan, hoping for the best.

Where I live there are only a handful of beaches and from what I've heard there are about 25 people that use water machines.

I haven't seen it first hand but shark tank comes to mind. : )

I need to locate some more beaches to my map.

I forgot to mention that I had 2 good tones. I believe to be a small stud ear ring. Every time I scooped it, then checked the hole it wouldn't be in the hole but once I shook the scoop free of sand I had nothing. The next swing of my detector indicated it had moved forward. My cheapie scoop must have holes just a little bigger than that target an it was falling right through it. Wouldn't you know it I was shoulder deep too.

Note to self: get a better scoop
