Today I found gold. I dont understand why folks cant see the chains. I have found 3 necklaces this week. You can tell school is out.

Casca, you should really think about investing in some rechargeable energizer batteries .They will save you lots of money . Great finds . I have only found 2 necklaces in 8 years of hunting .

That's what I use for my Explorer II

Just get a charger and charge the "non rechargeable"s ...I do, made a post about it too... They do good as new til the 4/5th time....I use li-ion 9x life energizers

Take that cross off and see if you can see the actual chain. It also sounds like you need rechargeable batteries.

That is just bad, bad advise!

How so?. Nothing bad has happened to my machine or batteries and the battery gods havnt struck me down yet...so, I'm going to keep charging them, just like many other ppl that I've read do it too.. ..but, to each his own.. ..personally, I'd rather take my chances on charging them than using tge marketed rechargeables that have lower voltage and twice the price..

Well congrats on beating the odds so far. It won't hurt your detector, but the batteries can overheat and explode on the charger. People have burned down their houses because they were trying to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Great idea, save a couple bucks on batteries and maybe lose your home (or lots of peoples' homes if they live in an apartment).

Been finding lots of necklaces, not sure why. Had the F75 for about 6 months maybe longer. I use high ma rechargables as I hunt almost every day. Ty for all the input. I dont let the rechargables get too low. Low voltage is a killer as stated below. I can tell no difference between duracells and my rechargables. The manual states what ma you need, get it as close as you can. Even batteries of the shelf arenot all the same.
