my 11th 1789 George Washington Inaugural button & a 7 copper day*5 coin copper spill

Todd and myself decided to go to a deep site that we found.a good 3 mile hike in.we been putting this site off for awhile now due to the hike but, today we decided to go for it.
took us a good hour to get close to it but along the way we spotted a hole.it was hit real good and only one target came out smack in the middle of the cellar hole.looks like a toasted KGIII.
off to the spot we mapped out.a few buttons.todd got a few coins ,I got a 5 coin pocket spill (huge KGIII Hibernia? a couple matron heads,a braided hair, a classic head half cen tand a lone CT? copper with a clipped planchet.
we were pretty wiped out by 3pm and low on water so,we decided to call it a day.we made the trek back and along the way we took another trail out and what do we see a bran foundation set back behind a pond.
Todd located the homesite up on a knoll.no cellar just a pile of rocks and a couple cut stones and bricks.todd nabbed another copper and I dug my 11th 1789 George Washington Inaugural button.waht a day! was beautiful out 70 degrees, ticks were insane and ran outta water but so worth the long mountainous hike in and out!
Gotta work on a couple coins tomorrow and get that green verdigris off.

UNBEFREAKINLIEVABLE MAN !!!! What a site - I simply can't understand how it's possible to find this caliber of coins/relics in a
day ?? in a lifetime ?! Oh did I mention BANNER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( awesome on the George III as well )

oooh I like the 1816 with the Hole in it :headbang:

Nice spill & the button looks great . I thought these were meant to be very rare....:laughing7::notworthy:

That is a handsome button...would love to find something like that!

I voted banner, crazy I seen another I voted on yesterday, I'd say it was worth braving the ticks.

Great Hunt ! Your crashing the rarity charts with your GW'S . Save one for me LOL ! You don't see a lot of the George III Irish pennys . Circa 1805 posted ! Awesome hunt ! MaineRelic

yes he did get it on video.he has so much footage of previous hunts but,has to sit down and get it edited and uploaded at some point.thanks man!

Dang HMN, thank goodness I don't have one for sale because you have officially diluted the GW button market. That's one helluva hunt!

Yeah maybe you shoulda hidden them all away except for one so they'd be more rare :-) jk that is truly amazing and a hell of a day of hunting. Great job bud

Amazing hunt!!! Colonial ANYTHING and I'd PASS OUT!! Maybe I'll get lucky and stumble over a French Indian fur trappers portage. Michigan just isn't the colonial hot spot. You guys have soo much history, it's GREAT!!!
