saturdays hunt with Gary was about as bad a day as you can have cellar hole hunting :-[ 5 sites one button(benedict waterbury)backmark
had permission to do a large 1800's home.was exciting walking into this yard O0
left with my tail between my legs.tons of clad,16 wheaties and not one sliver of silver fill was brought in as most zincolns were 5 - 6 inches.
i stopped at a cellar hole that i been to before. a few targets here n there a key and my 1st counterfiet large cent.it's a braided hair with date chipped away.looked for it in the hole but nothing.its made of pewter.

its a lapel pin.it has a threaded post on back WWI or II is my guess

Correct. WWI to between wars.
 

10th copper already, wasn't long ago you were shovelin snow to find the ground.

Not worried about plugging the drain ? that's a lot of stuff in that sink.

Lovin That counterfeit ;D
I think they were made to be added to bags of Cents for larger transactions, as a single would be pretty obvious, especially by weight.
I dug an 18 gram lead Draped counterfeit, odd.
Congrats on a unique piece of history :hello2:
