MXT and 12inch spider coil

Everything will calibrate when the machine is ground-balanced. This is one great reason to buy a detector with adjusting ground-balance.

I'm Not so sure this is the case! At least not with the Whites 8X14 DD Eclipes coil on a DFX. I find the depth to be off by a few inches.. A coin on top of the ground will read 2" for some reason.. But coins below the ground get more accurate as they depth gets deeper.. My wife has the New 12" Whites super coil but I didn't try it out yet.. I did read that this coil and the stock 950 coils read right on, on both the DFX and the MXT.. Thoughts welcome.. George

don't know about the 8 x 14, but the super 12 and the 950 are dead on with my DFX

When I was swinging my XLT my depth readings with the 950 was dead on! Put a smaller coil on and my depth readings were off at least 2 inches. I cant remember if it was plus or minus :tard: I got use to it very quickly and it was no big deal.
