Myself and my hunting partner had a great day of detecting today! We started at a 2 mile long median and worked it for 4 hours. I did great! A 1946-D walking liberty half, a silver 1951 dime, and a 1945-S war nickel were my best coins dug out of the median. A sterling silver thimble, a silver religious medal, and 9 wheaties from the median will guarantee my return next Saturday.

We took a lunch break and decided to give a high school soccer field a try for a couple of hours. I dug out a 1948 rosie dime near the gopher mounds and my hunting partner dug out of the same hole a sterling silver tea cup plate and a sterling silver plate display stand!

With the temperature in the 60's and a gray overcast day made for a cool day and easy temperature to hunt in. It's not often to find 4 silver coins on the same day!

Mark Twain said: "The coldest winter I ever saw was the summer I spent in San Francisco." We are blessed in S.F. with a cool wind coming off the Pacific Ocean during the summer, for a guy with a metal detector the weather is awesome!
