It may be from a pistol ?
3 old locks, that quite unusual for a single hunt, I've never got an old one.
 

The firearm part appears to be a percussion, back action lock for a muzzleloader. From the size I would think a pistol or small bore shotgun.
 

If you found all those locks, then the gold must be close by!:coins:
