Musket balls

Hello, I found 25 musket balls in orwell, Vermont. 24 in one hole and 1 about 50 yards away. There is a military road marker near by for the revolutionary war of 1776. I was wondering anyone can tell if they look old enough and maybe tell me any information you may know about them.

There are three different sizes 1st weights 1.07oz 2nd weights 0.66oz 3rd weights 0.49oz

Interesting find, and welcome to TNET. Can see the mold marks on some (the rings on them) and sprue protrusions on others. There are flat spots visible on some of them. Dropping onto a hard surface can do that, or so can a ramrod during loading. One type of gun, say the Brown Bess musket, would have one mold making a single size ball. Your largest ones could be those. Another size ball would be for another gun. They all appear unfired. Finding a bunch together of different sizes is difficult to explain. They do look old. The surface oxidation looks thick where it is broken through, an indicator of age. Maybe others can shed more light. Thanks for posting this.
