✅ SOLVED Musket Balls??

Found these two close together. They are under 1/2" in diameter. Your opinions would be appr:icon_thumleft:eciated!!
 

They are pistol balls fired from a revolver, showing rifling-marks. They could be from the mid-1800s, or modern-made ones.

There appears to be seven rifling-grooves on them. Mid-1800s Colt revolvers had 7-groove rifling... but so did a few other (but much rarer) revolvers at that time.

You say the lead balls are "under 1/2-inch in diameter." By a little, or a lot? If a little, they are most likely .44-caliber. If a lot, they could be either .36 or .32-caliber.

I think you nailed it CB....they are 15/32" diameter and also have 7 grooves. Thanks for the info and have a great day!!:headbang:
