Found this today on Clark Island at Pymatuning Lake in NW Pennsylvania.

I assume its a musket ball? Its heavy lead, somewhat flattened on one side. Any way of dating these things? I guess muzzle loader hunting still happens here in PA so maybe its not too old?

Too small for a musket but a muzzleloader of some type or a percussion revolver is likely.

Yes, hard to tell how old, but it does seem to have some patina. As stated, too small to be a musketball. No way to tell if it is rifle or pistol, both could be in the same calibers.
