left my camera on atv so can't post pic right now, found lead ball (musket?) way out in the woods today, was scouting for old homestead. it was buried 10" to 12" in the ground. the weight is 545.7 grains or 35.37 grams. the dia. is like 5/8 to 3/4 in. depending how i meas. it, not perfectly round. does any have a guess what cal. it is and what type of firearm it was shot out of? thanks

Here is the one I found just the other day...

5/8 is .62 caliber. Odds are that it's a musket or rifle bullet.

i'm thinking it's a .69cal. musket ball because of the 545gr weight.
