Went to an estate sale this morning.Found 2 glass Murano Italy paperwheights and one
Szechlov(sticker worn away) green bubble paperwheight. Also I had a chrome occupied japan hand warmer/lighter, two wooden mallets, and a felt lined ring box.(mallets and ring box not for resale).

#1 Orange Murano Italy Archimede Seguso Bird 3-4 inches wide 3 inches tall approx.
Red made in murano Italy sticker on bottom.
#2 SZEchlov Green bubble paperwheight.(sticker is worn away somewhat on side.)
#3 Made in Italy Murano Glass paperwheight(Millefiori)pattern? Fratelli Tosso silver
foil label on side.
#4 PEACOCK Pocket Hand Warmer/lighter made in Occupied Japan Chrome.

Paid $1x2 each for the wood mallets, $3 for the ring box, $3 for the occupied japan lighter/hand warmer. They wanted $20 for the bird Murano,$20 for the green check paperwheight, and $40 for the Larger Murano#3(millefiori) paperwheight.I asked for $50 for all three, he countered $60 for everything as a bundle, i accpeted. So I basically paid
$17 for each glass paperwheight.....Anyone have an idea each paperwheight is worth? I have a lot of research to do on them before I list them for sale on the bay...

In my opinion you paid too much. You have to be careful at estate sales. The green paperweight was made in Czechoslovakia, that's the partial word that is showing. The millefiori is worth maybe what you paid for it on a good day and the green Czech glass one is worth less than what you paid for it. If the bird is a Seguso then you may luck out and get between $40-70 for it. A true Murano collector would know I would think. The hand warmer isn't worth much.

Digg, I posted the muranos on a forum that speciazes in glass and they confirmed that the bird is infact a seguso worth about $50 to $80
and the other millefiori $20 to $50.The green one i may loose a little...I now have a nice handwarmer...

It's all good, i'm a member over there too. Anita can be a little over enthusiastic with her estimates, but she knows her Murano glass for the most part. The millefiori is pretty plain as far as millefiori goes. I have a very similar one and it hasn't sold yet @ $24.99, i've listed it a few times already. There are a lot of them out there. I noticed several that have sold for between $15-20 recently, that's why I said that. Current market prices dictate what an item will probably sell for so...
