If your talking about like a track at a school or something, you can find at least $15 in clad around it. Or so I have at the ones I have MDed.

We are talking about a little bigger track than that. The world famous race track, The Watkins Glen Race Way. Seeing 100's of thousands of people a summer.

man you guys could make out like bigrig at a spot like that! theres probably tons of clad and jewelry around.............as well as beer cans!

They started the Watkins Glen Grand Prix in the mid fifties on the streets and built the track I beleive in the early sixties. Like Mud says thousands of folks gather there several time a year since the day it first opened. They run a couple of NASCAR races there every year now (I'm not a fan so I don't know which series) and there are other SCCA events there through out the summer. I went up there once to detect but it was raining. Problem is, is that there must be a thousand acres total in the complex parking and camping areas are all unmown grass. They mow them only when they have an event so the grass is usually 6 inches to a foot hard swinging.

Could be some valuables, I will just wait to go after an event. Here is a trick for tall grass. Get a 5' x 5' piece of plywood and cut a hole in it a little bigger than your plug sizes. Put it over your tall grass and swing coil when you get a hit move the hole in the wood over to the hit and dig it up.
