So my nickel run is still happening! 3 nickels today and a Wheatie!

1902 V-Nickel
190? V-Nickel
no date Buffalo
1912 Wheat

Park is real hunted out. Not much silver to be found, but you'll find a wheat or two, but there appears to be a few old nickels still there.

Nice finds, DB!

Nickels are challenging, you tend to dig a lot of trash to find them. :(

Hello

That usually is the case, but the SE seems to ID them very well and combined with the depth gauge on the pass, your chances are very good. For example, I dug 0 pull tabs yesterday. This park has a very accurate time line in the soil. Anything over 5 inches is usually a keeper. No pulltabs at all at that depth. The Vs were around 7" and the Buffalo was at 5".
