Moving to California in 3 weeks

Hey guys - Just wanted to announce that I will be moving to California at the end of August. It has truly been a pleasure to meet and hunt with you. And if we never met or hunted together, it has been great reading your stories and commenting on your finds. I wish everyone here the best and will continue to check in and post comments as I will surely be homesick and really missing the old parks and homestead fields not to mention my friends and hunting buddies. As for my continued treasure hunting, I will probably switch my style to beach hunting since I will be a mile or so from the Santa Monica beach and a 15 minute drive to Malibu. Serious hunts may include driving to old 49er gold rush camps in the mountains in search of a California gold coin or token. I'll post all that in the California section or on the Today finds. I'll look forward to seeing all the cool finds from across the country!

As for recent finds, I got this '59 Rosie out of the reject slot on a coinstar machine in Santa Monica over the weekend! I don't care how I find it anymore, if it's silver its going on my finds list!

Yes I agree Mark... lots of places I never got around to detecting. Good thing is that I can still come back on my vacations and bring the detector!
