Although I am not a died in the wool Whites fan I have read some very good reports on the MXT. My understanding is that it is the Whites model for the detectorist that demands a touch and go machine. You should be very pleased with it as a move up machine. KS aka JIM

I just bought an MXT (my 1st MD) aabout a month or so ago. So far I like it alot. It picks up everything. Here in AZ however, we have a lot of hot rocks so I'm constantly getting those signals. I love the analog read out which helps me not to dig those hot rock signals. I've used it very little in the ground, as mainly I've been digging sandy tot lots, but the little I have dug in the ground it's been pretty accurate IDing what there, but I dig everything anyway. It' supposed to be a good gold detector too which is why I bought it, in case I also wanted to do some gold detecting. It's a little pricey, but it does everything pretty well, so to me it was a goo dmachine to start with and hold onto for some time.
