So this morning I hiked up to a cliff that overlooks my town, and honestly I didn't think I would find anything but beer cans and bottle tops from partying teens. I couldn't be more wrong and the variety of finds was quite impressive. There must if been a lot if activity going back to at least the early 1800s. My two best finds from the day are an 18k woman's wedding band and a 1803 large cent. This is the best and most unusual hunt I have had in a long time. Thanks for looking.

Thanks everyone. I can't figure this site out its just an old dirt road that goes up to the top of the mountain with a clearing on the top. No stone walls or foundations. But with the view off the cliff I think it might of been a place that people would of pic nic. It's a head scratcher. And also all the targets were very shallow with just. Few inches of topsoil on top of the bed rock.

getting a spot that no one else had found is great.

Nice work!

I've been looking for a site like this all year. Every where I go I either have pounded it to death or some one else has. I can't wait to go back

Good Idea checking out the top of that cliff, I would be doing the same thing. I would also be looking for and thing that looked like an older abandon trail or any other flat areas where people might of been.
