Ok lately I have been finding pennies, so many in fact that I think someone might be playing a cruel trick on me. As always when beach hunting some of these pennies are pretty bad off.

Here is what I thought was my most corroded penny ever.

But that's not it, look at these two they are both paper thin.

Then today I found the most worn penny ever. Look at this thing, I had to laugh. Look closely and you can see ABE'S head.

Here is the backside.

:headbang:

Anyone else have any nasty clad or coins that can beat that thing?

Yeah, sure I have. Some are so corroded, they fall to pieces. Nobody is playing a trick on you. Sometimes they just show up in greater #s. I just take 'em and tap a couple of times, with a ball-pene hammer and scrape them on the concrete, till round and roll. The bank pays fer 'em, as long as they are rolled. Coins are sent to the mint, for evaluation, before recirculation, especially pennies. I let the mint decide, whether they want to recirculate them, I get paid, I work my butt off to recover them.

You have to love those modern pennies, I think they start disolving as soon as they hit the ground.
