Usually, a half dollar/dollar signal disappears when you change angle. Not this time. I've been hunting less than a year, and have only 3 silver finds, so this is pretty awesome for me. Site was a 100+ year old farmhouse.

That's beautiful, congrats!

Wow! That's one nice coin for sure! Congratulations!

My half dollar/dollar signals are usually milk jug lids or mason jar lids! LOL!!!

Congrats!

I've never found a half or dollar yet. I can only imagine how excited you were to find that beauty.

:headbang:

Great coin!!!

Keep them coming...

That is a great find, although rather newish.....I found 2 coins today that dated 1679....200 years before your coin
was born. (BUT....I'll take yours over mine anyday. The 2 I found are in the most common series of large-size holed
coins that Korea began to mint in....you guessed it....1679.)

When detecting in the States I found a couple of silver dollars. Yours is older, and in much better condition than
either of my two. Hope you find a bag full of those nice silver coins. H.H.

Awesome find, nothing quite like feeling that big silver in your hand!

My daughter dug up a Morgan Dollar while playing in the garden I was tilling. It was this coin that led me to look it up on the internet and find this incredible forum. Mine was solid black and was immediately cleaned with Tarn-X :o it was also found at a 100yr old farmhouse always owned by a single family(mine)

Great find! Hope you find a mason jar full of $5 indians!

sweet find! you def. deserve it!

Awesome Find. I love pulling them old shiny coins out of the ground, they look so nice compared to the copper.Maybe my silver $ find will come to me this year. :icon_thumright: :icon_thumleft:
