Out in the yard today. 75 and sunny. Dug a bunch of coins, a ring and a couple relics that I have no idea what they are. And of course some trash, not pictured.

When I found this I brought it inside right away and sat it on the counter until I was done hunting. I sprayed it with foo for the pictures, but before I clean it any further I'd like to know if I should just run it under water, maybe rub it with a soft toothbrush? Its gorgeous. My first one ever!! I think I did a heel click, but I cant remember I was so excited!!

A Silver ring bent up. Nice size and pretty heavy

I dont know what this is but it looks like some kind of lantern top, maybe a candle lantern? It was pretty busted up but this is how it came out. It's about 5" in diameter. I wonder how old it is. Any ideas what this is?

And this strange thing I have no idea what it is but I kind of like it. I'm not good with relic stuff. I'm a newb still...

Thank you! I call it luck lol. I bought an 1860's house and its obviously a virgin site as far as metal detecting. Its a big house, the folks were well to do, soI'm just scratching the surface so far. also found their bottle dump down in a ravine over the hill. Already found some 1800's and early 1900's bottles and a load of marbles.

Great variety of finds! Morgan is a bucket lister ! Well done!

It really is a bucket lister for me. Its one of the coins I never thought I'd find, and the condition is amazing. Most of the silver coins I've found here have tons of detail left. They must have had money. It was a dairy farm. The basement is full of old milk bottles and canning jars.

Very nice, and in your own yard

I thought my grandparents yard was good. This yard is producing more than I've ever seen come out of one place. I think Ive found 7 silver coins so far in the past few weeks. And a motherload of clad.

Well done and thanks for sharing with us

Don't worry about cleaning it further. It's the most common Morgan there is, and since it was in circulation long before it was lost, some minor cleaning won't change it's value. Nice find!

Well done in getting that bucket lister struck off, and in your own soil to boot. Congrats

I don't call it a bucket lister any longer as it's been there for 50 years and I can't read the writing any longer.

Awesome, the closest I've got was a barber quarter.

I was just typing about my dug morgan dollars on the "gold coin, where are they" thread.

Welcome to the silver dollar club! BTW, it's just a 1921 so, yea, go ahead and use that soft toothbrush to get off the loose dirt and put that baby in the display case.

What a glorious hunk of silver! Still on my bucket list. Congrats!

That 1921 silver dollar is in pristine condition, and the rest of your finds are cool too.

Thanks everyone! I cleaned it better and will put it in a display case for sure. This is the best find Ive had imo. I found a colonial copper once, but it was pretty toasted. Its' in a case though. Rain today kept me out of the yard. I have 3 acres to hunt here and have barely scratched the surface. The soil is rich and dark. Cant wait to grow a garden in it.

Very nice ! Most detectorists will not find a Silver Dollar so congratulations are in order ! I'm a little jealous that you have a lifetime supply of acreage
to hunt at your leisure !
