I got back to the new permission on Main Street today and got in 3 and a half hours of swingin before the rain made detecting too messy to continue in a yard. You have to keep the owners happy or you won’t be able to come back and there is still a lot of yard to cover.
Mostly coins today not much interesting otherwise. I did find 32 coins with a face value of $1.64, including a 1942 merc, a 1964 Rosie, 8 wheats dated 1909, 1910, 1912, 1919, 1928, 1947, 1955D, 1957, a coat button with a ferrous metal back, a play dime, and another piece of the embellishment from last time (it was about a foot away from where I found the last 2 pieces).
The silver dimes hid from me last time, but today I managed to get my coil over 2 of them. Hopefully there will be more. With the play dime you could say I found a dime trifecta
The 5 older wheats look like they will clean up nicely with peroxide. The 3 newer ones look rough and may not be worth cleaning. The 1909 is just a 1909 no S, D, or VDB. This yard has produced a nice batch of older wheats. I hope a can find a Barber or two since they are from the same date range as a bunch of the wheats.
Thanks for looking and may your coil lead you to good things.
