And now for a different take on the chopped whatsit. I think these are pieces of a vintage (1931 or later) Chrysler emblem.

Here is a trunk emblem from a 1948 New Yorker.

It looks as if someone cut the word "Chrysler" off of it for some reason.

The Location they were found, Suggests
to me it could have been an Accident
& the Chrysler Emblem took the Impact.

I just get flabergasted at my luck finding this site. There's exsperts in every field here, and modest ones to boot. I get so excited I feel like a kid again when I think of the fact that all these types of questions that have been the bane of my treasure hunting existance I can now get answered, and free of charge. Sometimes I just wanna shout because way to many people don't realize the wealth of knowledge there is here either recorded for posterity or locked within PBKesque persons mind that they then freely share. ;D
