I think those are all Vacors.
Hello

Great! thanks!
By any chance, any of those older or newer?
Um, about those that you mentioned from the recent message,
did I, by any chance, get those right that you were describing from the first batch?
Is there any older or newer with either of those.

Thanks again!
Jim

The latter batch is newer. The first batch, it gets confusing when there are so many marbles. I like 3 t the most at a time.
Hello

Thank you.
Understandable. I'm glad that you mentioned that so I'll know that for future posts.
I finally posted a few marbles on your site and am following the guidelines for new posts.
Please let me know what you think and if some changes are needed.

Thanks again!
Jim

Have you tried shining a uv 395 or 365 light on them? You may be surprised at how many glow. 395 will reveal uranium while 365 will glow on manganese and other types. You can get a 395 light from Harbor Freight for about $7.00 or yo can get a combination 365/395 from Amazon for about $18.00.

Cool! I totally have 0 idea how to id them but I like em.

Hello fyrffytr1

Thank you very much for that suggestion. Funny thing is I just recently picked up both of those flashlights, 365 and a 395. None of these here react to the lights but I do have a good group of them that do.
Now that I do have those lights I'll probably display a few seeing I couldn't till they arrived in the mail.
I actually got a good deal on the 395, two for under $20, one for the wife and the 365 for about $11 on eBay, oh, and free shipping.
Thank you letting me know which flashlight works the best for uranium and magnesium.

Thanks again!

Hello RatherBeDigging

Thank you! for the comment. Lol.. when I first started, I was where you are with zero knowledge or where to begin.
My wife stopped in an antique store just to look around and seen several ball jars and just about everything else you could think of. Well, one ball jar caught my eye that I was looking for, and funny enough, it was filled with marbles. I ended up paying $15 for the jar, half gallon blue.
Couldn't wait like just a kid to get home and look through them all lol..
After a while and doing some research and what ONE of those could possibly be worth I was like WHAT! lol.. and you're right, they're cool to look at.
Now I can hardly wait to find more unique ones to add to these, lol..
Sorry for the long story, lol..
Really glad that I joined this site, I enjoy hearing from everyone, like yourself about their collection and how they found them. So cool and amazing!!
Take care! Oh, I will be posting some UV marbles from those lots soon.

Appreciate the response. I'm in the process of excavating a hazel atlas Mason jar that spelled almost all of its contents of marbles into a 1930s 1940s dump. Currently at 129 marbles, a glass bangle, silver ring, an old key, a 50s glass insulator, silver plated doll spoon, mini brass toy candle stick, glass paper weight and a Japan marked dog or cat figure. Few of these weird stone looking marbles. I didn't know there was a marble section here. It found me ha.

Wow!! That's awesome, GOOD FIND!!
Those marbles look amazing, I believe those are clay marbles. Those other pieces look amazing as well, cool colors.
Besides the marbles section their are other forums for those other specific items that you found as well. Glad you found the marbles section, there is one person by the name of cheese, who is quite knowledgeable with marbles. He also has his own website, all about marbles. Really good place to display and educate yourself on many, many, many marbles, lol..
Will you be displaying any other pictures?
I hope you find many more like that.

I'm at 144 as of this morning here. It's really sloppy and filling with water after a foot down so it needs time to dry out

Hello

Here are some more pictures of marbles that I obtained. Any information would greatly be appreciated. New/old? and or manufacturer? Possible value?
I apologize if some were already posted.

Thanks
Jim
Those are beauties. I remember as a kid playing marbles but we didn't play the usual way in Florida when I grew up we played gutter marbles. You'd roll the marble down the gutter then the next guy would roll his if he hit yours he got your marble and vice versa. Not sure if that's common practice anywhere else but that's how we played. It wasn't very good to the marbles tho on that concrete.

Hello

Those look cool! GOOD JOB!! Would you say that there are a mixture of sizes? I wonder about how old those are? Heck, how many could possibly be buried? Lol.. I've seen a few of those looking at different sites. I'll keep looking and see if I can find anything on a couple of them. I just don't want to provide you with the wrong information. Did you happen to look at any sites regarding these marbles?
There's no telling just how many got buried as well as possibly anything else. I'm hoping you find more of them and other objects.
Please keep sending more pictures.
If it wasn't for the hole getting filled up with water, I'm sure you would've gotten much deeper.
Thank you very much for sharing this, appreciate it.

Jim
